Surah 42: Selected Verses

1. Ha. Mim. A'in. Sin. Qaf. ... We have inspired in thee a Lecture in Arabic. 42:1-7
2. A host will be in the Garden, and a host of them in the Flame. 42:7
3. Had Allah willed, He could have made them one community. 42:8
4. In whatsoever ye differ, the verdict therein belongeth to Allah. 42:10
5. Naught is as His [Allah's] likeness. 42:11
6. Say: I believe in whatever scripture Allah hath sent down. 42:15
7. Those who argue concerning Allah ... wrath is upon them and theirs will be an awful doom. 42:16
8. Allah is gracious unto His slaves. 42:19
9. As for disbelievers, theirs will be an awful doom. 42:26
10. Whatever of misfortune striketh you, it is what your right hands have earned. 42:30
11. He causeth them to perish on account of that which they have earned. 42:34
12. He whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no protecting friend. 42:44
13. Thou wilt see them exposed to (the Fire), made humble by disgrace, and looking with veiled eyes. And those who believe will say: Lo! the (eternal) losers. 42:45
14. They will have no protecting friends to help them instead of Allah. He whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no road. 42:46
