Section 24: Absurdity

1. "Behold, thou [Joseph Smith] wast called and chosen to write the Book of Mormon." 24:1

   So Joseph Smith wrote the Book of Mormon. God said so himself!

2. After you [Joseph Smith] have sowed your fields, go to the churches in Colesville, Fayette, and Manchester. They will support you financially, and I'll bless them for it. 24:3

3. Thou shalt devote all thy service in Zion. 24:7

   Zion is a goofy catch-all name for Mormonism.

4. Your strength is not in physical labor. You [Joseph Smith] are called to preach and lead the church. 24:9
5. Don't do miracles, except when I command you - except for these: cast out devils, and heal the sick. And you won't be hurt by poisonous snakes or deadly poison. But only do miracles when requested. 24:13-14
6. Whoever tries to sue you in court will be cursed by the law. 24:17
7. Don't take anything with you; the church will immediately provide whatever you need. 24:18
